HP victus laptop 15-fa1093dx shut off on me randomly, power button blinks with and without charger plugged in but it doesn't power on. I just replaced the battery today, assuming the battery was the issue because both red wires on the battery connector were broken. The problem still persists. The blinking eventually stops on it's own after awhile. I just want to know what's causing this all of a sudden, if I should take it in for a diagnostic.. Thanks.
Running OS 11, wouldn't let me select OS or laptop model.

@Jaayye, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The blinking power light on your HP Victus laptop is often an indicator of a hardware issue, typically related to the motherboard, battery, or power circuitry. Given that you've already replaced the battery and the issue persists, it's possible that the motherboard, power connector, or another internal component could be at fault.
Here are a few potential causes:
Faulty Power Circuitry: The issue could lie in the power delivery system, either in the motherboard or within the power connector that you replaced. If the circuit is damaged, the laptop might not power on properly.
Loose Connections: Even though you replaced the battery, it's worth double-checking that all connections (including the battery connector and any power-related connections on the motherboard) are firmly seated. Sometimes, a loose connection can cause power issues.
Corrupted BIOS/Software Issue: Occasionally, power issues can be linked to a corrupted BIOS or firmware, although this is less common. If you suspect this, resetting the BIOS could help. You might also want to try performing a hard reset (unplugging the laptop, removing the battery, holding down the power button for 30 seconds, and then reconnecting everything).
Motherboard Damage: If the battery's red wires were broken before, there's a chance that the motherboard sustained some damage, especially if there were any shorts or power fluctuations.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
