I bought a Laptop On December 21, 20 from a dealer near to my place in India and When I went to HP Support Assistant to register my warranty - It showed that warranty was already started on August 21, 2020. I want to know if the dealer gave me a used laptop. if so please let me know, Thank you.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the warranty information showing in HP Support assistant is incorrect.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Usually, the warranty information you are seeing is the computer born on date and you can get it changed by registering your product and the warranty should start from the date you purchased the computer.

In case if the warranty is still showing incorrectly, contact support and they will update it as per the invoice.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
