Purchased a HP laptop a couple of days ago, noticed when looking at the HP Support Assistant that it states the manufacturers warranty had already expired. I've searched the support website for solutions, and it says to raise a dispute. However, when going through the warranty checker page, it does not give me the option to dispute the warranty.

HP starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the PC leaves the assembly plant.

So the longer the time elapses from assembly date to the purchase date, the less time remains on the warranty.

Please contact HP customer service beginning at the link below and submit a support request to have the warranty start and end dates adjusted to the date you purchased the notebook.

Thank you for your response, however I have seen other users have a different outcome and have successfully been able to dispute the warranty and get 1 year from the point of purchase.
