HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb060sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I am having a very odd problem with my laptop, which hopefully someone can help me fix.

I own a HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb060sa. Now I know that my 4 core CPU and gtx 1050 are going to be blowing me out the water at the best of times. But my laptop has been so badly preforming that I managed to consistently get 9fps in minecraft.

I have cleaned up my hard drive (deleting over 2000 files) which did nothing. I have attached a couple things: firstly I have had 3 random blue screens in the recent past with different stop codes, secondly a PC benchmark which showed that every since part of my laptop is badly under preforming (some in the 0th Percentile).

I have also cleaned my laptop and temps are normal so it isn't thermal throttling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.laptop bench.pngIMG_0448.JPGIMG_0487.JPGIMG_2677.jpg

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open the HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

And, also run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

HP does not recommend to use Third-party measuring apps as they are not tested by HP and may not be accurate.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
