HP OMEN 17 W273NR
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good day,

I would like to add Samsung 970evo SSD to my w273nr HP omen.

As far as I know my laptop has additional slot for storage, so I could have 2 SSD same time.

Do I have to replace the original which came with laptop?

Or can I put additional?

If yes what type of SSD I can add, so I buy correct one additional.

Hello @Alexandrx7

Does your W273nr already have a 500GB M.2 SSD installed?

If so, you cannot add another NVMe drive.

But you can add a 2.5 inch Sata SSD where the HDD would normally be.

If you don't have an HDD already installed,  you wont have the harness/cable or brackets to hold a 2.5 inch drive and would need to purchase that extra. Problem is, its only found on the HP Parts Store and its pricey.

Example in US dollars, not including shipping...

Can these harness/cable or brackets be applied for SSD, let's say 860 evo Samsung?

HP Recommended

Yes it can.

Any sata 2.5 inch form factor drive will fit using the harness and conntectors.

The Sata port and mounting holes are all the same.
