I bought a refurbished HP OMEN Laptop and the sticker is what I used to order a new Recovery Media from HP. I got the USB stick today and tried to install it and it gave me an error. The sticker information does not match the bios.

Hi:
You have two options to install W10 when the HP recovery media doesn't work.
1. Create a bootable recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool. Here is an info link for how to use that utility.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06162205
2. If the above method gives you the same error, then make a bootable W10 installation USB flash drive using the Media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

That is good news.
See if you can get a refund from HP for the non-working recovery media.
We aren't allowed to post phone numbers to HP anymore due to scammers posting phony HP phone numbers, but you can call HP at the link below, first number listed at the top in large font.
