Product: OMEN 15 2020
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm seeing high idle temps 60C+ on my HP omen ryzen 7 + rtx 2060, under heavy load it goes upto 98C even with fan at full speed. I', worried about the longevity of  my laptop. Anyone faced the same issue?

On idle,, yes CPU can reach to 60C... For me, it happened after Windows Update on October... But, the 'high temp' on idle only occur when plugged in... And if i'm using battery, it will get cooler (35-45C) on idle... 

 

Under heavy load, it depends on what you're doing... If i'm playing games,, i tend to set the FPS limit to 45-60fps to reduce the temp... It reduce stress on CPU and GPU, so they wont generate too much heat....
