How many PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD ports/sockets does a HP 17-cb0056tx have?

I assume 1?

I couldn't see any webpages or manuals that specifically confirmed it.

Hi:

The illustration in chapter 5, page 32 of the service manual, shows two, but I think some folks that have that model series were not happy when they opened up the notebook, to only find one.

When you look at chapter 1 of the manual, there is no mention of support for two NVMe drives.

I saw that same image in the manual, and when I opened it up I saw that the shield covers two areas and on the motherboard there is a pin layout for the second socket.

My boot SSD died a couple of days ago, and it would have been nice to have 2x sockets and RAID 1 capability.

I wonder what extra cost it would have been just to add that second socket, especially since the motherboard is already designed to support it.
