Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e1000 (53G36AV)

If there is only one SSD slot, could you replace the SSD with a 1 or 2 TB Samsung SSD and clone your data over to the new one? If so, how do you clone SSD data?

Hi:

HP only has the service manual for the older 16-e0000 model series on your notebook's support page.

Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e1000 Manuals | HP® Customer Support

According to chapter 5, page 34 of the manual, the notebook has support for two M.2 NVMe SSD's.

If there happened to be only one slot, and you wanted to clone the existing drive's contents to a larger capacity SSD, you would have to purchase a USB 3/USB-C to NVMe adapter, insert the drive to be cloned in the adapter, clone it, and replace the existing drive.

Something like this...

Amazon.com: SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure Adapter, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) to NVME PCI-E ...
