Does the "HP Pavilion Gaming - 17-cd0019nu" have two slots and is it possible for it to run properly with 2x32gb sticks?
Maybe 2x64GB in the future (when such sticks become available everywhere) with a i7-9750H processor?

Hi:
Here is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for a very similar model to yours...
https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-17-cd0019ur
According to the report, you can install 2 x 32 GB of memory.
Here is the link to the specs on the above model...

The only way your notebook would support 128 GB of memory would be if it had 4 memory slots, but it only has 2.
That is why the memory would be limited to 64 GB.
Some HP mobile workstations with the 9th gen core processors can have 4 memory slots.
The service manual is below, and HP indicates the max is 2 x 16 GB, but I would lean toward the Crucial report being right.
