HP OMEN by HP - 17-an027nm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello there...

1.

i've been using my omen that has already been preinstalled with windows 10 home now for a year and was getting full of useless stuff, maybe some wiruses and I wanted to completely recover it. I've been having problems with recovery manager, at some point it said that there was no space and couldn't proceed with installation, and at the other point it said, there was something wrong while installing and no changes were made.

So I decided to copy serial number of windows, download it from web and make reinstall from USB. Reinstall didnt go as I expected, I had to change some settings in BIOS, something with legacy boot, which I dont understand at all.

When I was formating partitions in windows installation, I left the recovery partition as it was just in case.

After windows installed, I saw it's not the same GUI, which I liked alot before. But I said to myself I can get used to it. Now I have troubles with installing drivers, can't get my nvidia graphic card drivers, it says that drivers are not compatible or something similar.

When I was formating partitions in windows installation, I left the recovery partition as it was just in case.

Question:    I'm asking if I can use it again, to try once again to make recovery of windows as it was in the begining?

2.

Second problem I have is with keys on keyboard. Started with key A, it started with small crack, but as I was using my computer, it went all the way through. So i have broken key, and didnt even want to drive it back to the store, to get it repaired. So one day I was cleaning my laptop and was searching on web where to buy new key, so I can replace it myself.

I had to take one key out, to see how it looked like under key, to buy the right one to replace and after I took it away and turn it around, I saw small crack aswell.

So eventualy all key gonna crack? It's been 1 year of use. And no, im not agressive user.

Question:     Does this kind of key replacement go under warranty?

I'm sorry for my por english and thanks in advance.

@Slaysation,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Let's try these steps here:

In this scenario, I would suggest you could try to use Microsoft media creation tool or you could try to use HP Cloud Recovery Tool which allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive.

If this option does not work then you can follow this link: HP PCs - Obtaining PC Recovery USB Drives or Discs Or else you may contact our HP support team to help you order a set of recovery media for your PC.

HP support team can be reached on this link

Next thing, regarding the keyboard I would recommend you contact our HP support team so that they can go ahead and provide you with all the available service related options.

Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help you.
