Hey! Can you tell me how to play better on a laptop? From the mains or can it be from the battery? What is the best way to combine these two modes to save battery life?
UPD: Or now, on modern laptops, the principle of operation is as follows: when power is supplied "from the network", the battery is recharged, while it does not overheat, since the load is not on it?

You should always do processor intensive stuff, especially gaming, with the laptop plugged into the mains. Most laptops have power plans preloaded that will throttle the processor and dim the screen when running on battery. You don't want either of these to happen if you are gaming.
As to prolonging battery life, keeping it plugged in will reduce battery use.
