Omen 15 dc1113tx

Good day! 

 

I have this new omen 15 dc1113tx laptop. I intend to preserve my battery health for a long term use. Is it advisable to charge when not in use and when in use?  What is the recommended battery range percentage to plug in the charger?

The principle of keeping batteries "live" longer is to minimize charging cycles. From my observations for a same batch of around 300 notebooks/laptops. After 2 years, machines which sit on AC 100% of their time had much better batteries than machines which were not (staff carried them around).  The following image shows my current machine. I took it out for my class few weeks last year

As you can see, after more than one year (463 days) only 12 charging cycles out of 1000 cycles of its life.
