I want to be able to play games without a mouse. Right now clicks on my touchpad aren't recognized while I am on any of the WASD keys.

I already went into my ELAN touchpad settings and disabled TP Rejection.

Is there anything else I could do? Perhaps a regedit key?

Thanks.

You will more than likely have to use a mouse. Sorry. The track pad and the keyboard are tied together so to speak. And if you start typing the input from the track pad cannot be detected. Its as if they are on the same line so to speak. Its like keys ghosting on a keyboard that does not have n-key roll over. (N-key rollever is found on most gaming keyboards and it allows for more keys to pressed at the same time without loosing the input) There are only so many wires for the keyboard as an input device.

I have tried everything I know on a few models. There was one that kind of worked but was not good enough to actually play a game. It is better to just use a mouse if you can.

If you cant use one or dont have access to one you may be able to bind look left/ right/ up/ down to some keys on your keyboard depending on the game you are playing. In my experience that only works on older shooting games. Most new games expect everyone to use a mouse or a controller.

In the old doom there was only look left and right (no up and down) I binded turn left to Q and turn right to E so i could turn while using WASD. I used my thumb to hit space bar for activating switches and doors and my pinky for shoot on ctrl. This allowed me to play doom with one hand (sorta). I finnally caved in and started using a mouse tho because I needed to be plugged up at a table to play triple A games at 60fps anyways.

I have a synaptics track pad and they are not very good. I dont know anything about ELAN.
