OMEN by HP - 15-ce062tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was happily gaming on my 2017 HP OMEN 15-ce062tx when It shut itself off. after it did this, I pressed the power button to turn it back on and the power button lit up, but no fans and no display. after a few seconds the light turned off again, and it did this about 3 more times. Now, when I press the power button, there is no response, and the charging status light does not turn on, even if it is plugged in. What has happened?

Hi,

Was the battery charged when it shut itself off. Was it a Windows shutdown or a sudden power loss kind of shutdown.

Is the power adapter good? Can u try a different HP adapter just to see if the charging light comes on.

You could try a power reset

Hope it helps,

Hi, Thanks for the response.

The battery was fully charged when this happened, and it was plugged in. before it shut down, there was nothing to indicate anything was wrong and it was not overheating. It didn't display a shutdown screen, rather it just instantly black-screened, and all lights and fans turned off. I have tried the power reset, and it didn't work. I tried a known working power adapter, albeit lower voltage/wattage for a smaller, older notebook and it didn't show any charging lights, I tried the original power adapter with said notebook and the charging light did come on, so both chargers do work. What does this mean?
