Hp Omen 15 ax006nf Turbo Boost Disabled and Battery not Charging

HP Recommended
Omen 15 by HP ax006nf
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had been running some benchmarks on my laptop while looking for solutions to its battery issues when I noticed this. The laptop does not go beyond 2.3 GHz no matter what task it performs. It also randomly stops charging and does not charge again until the battery is fully drained(which was the main issue I was trying to solve). I have so far tried:

  • Going into the BIOS by pressing f10 to see if there is any "disable/enable turbo boost" option but I did not find any such option.
  • Running the benchmarks again with the laptop plugged in, to no avail.
  • Updating the BIOS, again to no avail.

Hi@zawyarurrehman,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

`You have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to be checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Have a great day!
