Hp Omen 15 lag spikes (fps drops)

HP Recommended
Hp Omen 15-dc1001nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have hp omen laptop for 8 months, and there were no problems with laptop, but sth like 5 days ago my cousin started playing game (beamng.drive) normally like always, but about 30 seconds later fps dropped from 144 to 120, then 100, then 80, then 40, and 15. And then about every 1minute I had fps drop to 15 or sth. I  also checked another game (scrap mechnic) and it had similar problem. And this problem is repeating every time I play these games. And it makes them unplayable.

I have all drivers updated (I think)

I just don't have windows version 2004, because my device is "not ready"

Hp omen Command center shows me:  97oC gpu, 90oC  cpu    but it always shown that much, if it is too much please tell me what can I do.

Please help me. I like this laptop a lot. And it is sad that now I can't enjoy playing and normal using it as always.

PS. Sorry for my english, but I am not from english-speaking country.

@Kacper_55 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing FPS drop issue.

There are many ways to increase FPS and system performance:

  • Update the BIOS.

For desktop PCs, go to HP Desktop PCs - Updating the BIOS

For notebook PCs, go to HP Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS

  • Update the graphics driver.

Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, enter your PC model, then select the driver for your graphics card.

  • Most games allow you to change the graphics settings. Using a lower graphic quality often improves FPS.

  • Close any applications or programs that are not being used.

  • Turn on Game Mode. Game Mode is a new feature in Windows 10 Creators Update that improves gaming performance by limiting background processes and programs from using system resources while a game is running.
