Hp Omen 15 lag spikes (fps drops)

HP Recommended
Hp Omen 15-dc1001nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have hp omen laptop for 8 months, and there were no problems with laptop, but sth like 5 days ago my cousin started playing game ( normally like always, but about 30 seconds later fps dropped from 144 to 120, then 100, then 80, then 40, and 15. And then about every 1minute I had fps drop to 15 or sth. I  also checked another game (scrap mechnic) and it had similar problem. And this problem is repeating every time I play these games. And it makes them unplayable.

I have all drivers updated (I think)

I just don't have windows version 2004, because my device is "not ready"

Hp omen Command center shows me:  97oC gpu, 90oC  cpu    but it always shown that much, if it is too much please tell me what can I do.

Please help me. I like this laptop a lot. And it is sad that now I can't enjoy playing and normal using it as always.

PS. Sorry for my english, but I am not from english-speaking country.

@Kacper_55 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing FPS drop issue.

There are many ways to increase FPS and system performance:

  • Update the BIOS.

For desktop PCs, go to HP Desktop PCs - Updating the BIOS

For notebook PCs, go to HP Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS

  • Update the graphics driver.

Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, enter your PC model, then select the driver for your graphics card.

  • Most games allow you to change the graphics settings. Using a lower graphic quality often improves FPS.

  • Close any applications or programs that are not being used.

  • Turn on Game Mode. Game Mode is a new feature in Windows 10 Creators Update that improves gaming performance by limiting background processes and programs from using system resources while a game is running.
