Laptop turned off suddenly while playing. It has no battery since I removed it. When i plug it again using the charger, it wont work nor does it give the charging light.

I already tried pressing the power button for atleast 1 minute, but no luck. Don't really know what to do. It seems like its dead

Hi @Blix06,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop has suddenly turned off while playing and now won't turn on or show any signs of charging, you can try the following steps to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Verify Power Source and Charger

  1. Check the Outlet: Make sure the electrical outlet you are using is working properly. Plug another device into the same outlet to verify.
  2. Inspect the Charger: Examine the charger for any visible damage, such as frayed wires or bent pins. If you have access to another compatible charger, try using it to see if the laptop responds.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Unplug Everything: Disconnect the charger from the laptop.
  2. Remove External Devices: Disconnect any external devices (e.g., USB drives, external hard drives).
  3. Press and Hold Power Button: Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the Charger: Plug the charger back into the laptop and ensure it is securely connected.
  5. Power On: Try turning on the laptop.

If the issue persists it must be a hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
