It sounds like your HP Pavilion Gaming Ryzen 5 3550H is experiencing slow boot/shutdown times and keyboard issues, which can be frustrating. Here’s how to tackle both problems:
Fixing Slow Boot & Shutdown
Disable Startup Programs
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
- Go to the Startup tab and disable unnecessary apps.
Enable Fast Startup
- Go to Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Enable Turn on fast startup.
Update Drivers & BIOS
- Visit HP’s support page and check for BIOS updates and chipset drivers.
- Install the latest updates and restart your laptop.
Run Disk Cleanup & Optimize SSD
- Open File Explorer, right-click your C: drive, and select Properties → Disk Cleanup.
- Go to Tools → Optimize and run SSD optimization.
Fixing Keyboard Issues
Check for Physical Damage
- If the keys are stuck or unresponsive, a keyboard replacement may be necessary.
- Try an external keyboard to confirm if the issue is hardware-related.
Run Keyboard Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot → Keyboard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Update Keyboard Drivers
- Open Device Manager (Win + X → Device Manager).
- Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Update driver.
