Hi @parva0208,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Victus 16.1 laptop is not charging above 99%, and the charging light doesn't turn white at 100%, there could be a few reasons for this. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Calibrate the Battery: Sometimes, the battery calibration may be off, causing the laptop to stop charging at 99%. To recalibrate the battery, follow these steps.

  • Charge your laptop to 100%.
  • Disconnect the charger and use your laptop until the battery is completely drained and the laptop turns off.
  • Reconnect the charger and charge the laptop to 100% without interruption.

Update BIOS/UEFI: Ensure that your laptop's BIOS/UEFI firmware is up to date. Manufacturers often release updates that address battery-related issues and improve overall system stability. Visit the official HP support website, enter your laptop model, and download and install the latest BIOS/UEFI update if available.

Check Power Settings: Verify your power settings in Windows. Sometimes, there might be a setting that limits charging to extend battery life. To check this:

  • Right-click on the battery icon in the system tray.
  • Select "Power Options."
  • Click on "Change plan settings" for your current power plan.
  • Choose "Change advanced power settings."
  • Look for a setting related to battery charging and set it to 100%.

Battery Driver Update: Ensure that your battery drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager. Right-click on the battery in the Device Manager and select "Update driver." Choose to search automatically for updated driver software.

HP Support Assistant: HP laptops often come with the HP Support Assistant software. Run this tool to check for any hardware or battery-related issues. It may provide recommendations or updates to resolve the problem.

Remember to back up your important data before attempting any troubleshooting steps that involve potential risks to your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
