Hi @AMAN1171,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing screen flickering issues while gaming on your HP Victus 16 laptop. This could be caused by a variety of factors, including hardware issues, driver conflicts, or even software-related issues like malware. Here's a comprehensive guide to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Check Hardware Connections:

  • Ensure that all cables connecting your laptop to external displays (if applicable) are securely connected. Loose connections can sometimes cause flickering issues.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Since you've already updated the Nvidia GPU drivers, try rolling back to a previous version of the drivers to see if that resolves the issue. Sometimes, the latest drivers can introduce compatibility issues. You can do this by going to Device Manager, locating your Nvidia GPU under "Display adapters," right-clicking on it, selecting "Properties," going to the "Driver" tab, and selecting "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available.

Adjust Graphics Settings:

  • Try adjusting the graphics settings in your games to see if lowering certain graphics options (such as resolution, anti-aliasing, or texture quality) helps reduce the flickering issue. Sometimes, overly aggressive graphics settings can overload the GPU and cause instability.

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Use the built-in hardware diagnostic tools provided by HP to check for any hardware issues. Restart your laptop and repeatedly press the Esc key to access the Startup Menu. From there, select the option for diagnostics (usually labeled as "HP Diagnostics" or similar) and run a comprehensive test of your laptop's hardware components, including the GPU.

Monitor System Temperatures:

  • Excessive heat can sometimes cause screen flickering issues. Use temperature monitoring software to check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU while gaming. If temperatures are consistently high, consider cleaning the laptop's cooling system or using a laptop cooling pad to improve airflow.

Check for Malware:

  • Run a full system scan with reputable antivirus and antimalware software to check for any malware or malicious software that may be causing issues. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date before running the scan.

By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the screen flickering issue on your HP Victus 16 laptop while gaming.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

The display flickering is also associated with flickering of the rgb light on the laptop keyboards I tried every solutions mention but nothing seems to work. Also when the flicker on off occurs while it's off I can still see the screen it's just the brightness is like very very low ( like you see a mobile screen with low brightness under scorching sun). I updated everything and ran free antivirus as mcafee is over. Plss note that even while I'm not gaming it still flickers to the point that it still flickers on the hp diagnostic page while running tests. Plss adress the problem and what should be covered in the warranty.
