Hi @SvenCzz,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble logging into your HP Pavilion Gaming 15 after restoring it. There could be several reasons why you're experiencing this issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve it.

  • Check Your Password: Make sure you are entering the correct password. Check for caps lock, num lock, or any other keyboard settings that might be affecting your password entry.
  • Try Another User Account: If you have another user account on the computer, try logging in with that account to see if the issue is specific to your user profile.
  • Password Reset: If you can't remember your password or suspect it's incorrect, you can try to reset your password. This often involves using a password reset disk or using another account with administrative privileges. If you've set up security questions or have linked your Microsoft account to your PC, you can use those options to reset your password.
  • System Restore: If the issue started after a system restore, it's possible that something went wrong during the restoration process. Consider performing another system restore to a previous point when your computer was working correctly. Make sure to choose a restore point that is before the problem started.
  • Safe Mode: Try booting your computer in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, you can troubleshoot issues that might be causing the login problem. To boot into Safe Mode, restart your computer and repeatedly press the F8 key or Shift+F8 key (depending on your Windows version) before the Windows logo appears.
  • Check for Updates: Sometimes, outdated software or drivers can cause login issues. Ensure that your operating system and drivers are up to date.
  • Virus or Malware Scan: It's possible that your computer has been infected with malware. Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to check for and remove any potential threats.
  • Repair Windows: If none of the above solutions work, you may need to repair or reinstall Windows. You can use the Windows installation media to perform a repair or reset your PC. Be sure to back up your important files before attempting this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
