Hi @Dre_Reloaded,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused and don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • The exact model of your HP laptop
  • Whether the battery shows up in Windows (for example, does it display “No battery detected” or “Plugged in, not charging”?)
  • If you’ve ever seen error messages related to the battery or power adapter

A few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Check the AC adapter and power port: Make sure the charger is firmly connected and that the port isn’t loose or damaged.
  • Run HP Hardware Diagnostics: Restart your laptop and press F2 to access diagnostics. Run the battery test to see if it detects any issues.
  • Update BIOS and drivers: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause charging or detection problems. You can update these through HP Support Assistant.
  • Perform a power reset: Disconnect the charger, press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds, then reconnect and power on.

Since the battery is built‑in, replacement is more complex than with removable batteries. If diagnostics confirm the battery is faulty, the next step would usually be to have it serviced by an authorized HP Service center.

I hope this helps.
