Hi @siddpmp,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're facing an issue where your OMEN by HP 16.1-inch Gaming Laptop isn't starting up, even though the charging appears to be fine. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

May I know

Do you see an HP Logo when you try to turn on the unit and then the screen goes blank or blue screen, If Blue screen Have observed any error message?

Or the unit is not turning On at all

Do You see a light glowing on the power button and next to the charging Port?

Please try the following Troubleshoots steps.

1.    Turn off the Unit.

2.    Disconnect the AC adapter.

3.    Remove any discs from the disc drive.

4.    Remove memory cards from the card reader slot.

5.    Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives.

6.    Disconnect the AC adapter press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.

7.    Reconnect the AC adapter, and then turn on the computer.

Step 2

Turn off the unit and please press and hold the Windows key + letter B key and the power button together for 30 seconds after 30 seconds, 1st release the power button but keep holding the Windows key and B key for ten more seconds and then release these two keys If done correctly, you will see the display flashing once. Please attempt it thrice as this step and Restart the unit

Step3

The unit has to be turned off, Press Win+ V while holding these two keys then Press the Power button, continue to hold all three keys for 30 seconds and then release the Power button first and then release these two keys Please attempt it thrice  and then you may get a Pop-Up CMOS Check and it will restart the unit

Even if you don't get a Pop-up restart the unit manually after 3 attempts.

1. Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Step 1: Disconnect all peripheral devices (mouse, keyboard, etc.).
  • Step 2: Unplug the charger from the laptop.
  • Step 3: Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Step 4: Reconnect the charger (without connecting any other devices).
  • Step 5: Try to power on the laptop.

2. Check for Power Issues:

  • Charger and Adapter: Ensure that the charger and adapter are functioning properly by testing them on another compatible device, if available.
  • Power Indicator: If there’s no light on the power button or near the charging port, there may be a power supply issue.

3. Perform a Battery Disconnect:

  • If the laptop has a removable battery, try removing it and then pressing and holding the power button for 30 seconds. After that, reconnect the battery and try to start the laptop again. If your battery is non-removable, skip this step.

4. BIOS Reset:

  • Step 1: Turn off the laptop (if it’s not already off).
  • Step 2: Press and hold the Windows key + B key, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds, and release the power button (but continue holding the Windows + B keys).
  • Step 3: If the BIOS reset works, you should see a BIOS recovery screen. Follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Check Display Issues:

  • Step 1: Connect the laptop to an external monitor to rule out any display issues.
  • Step 2: If the external monitor works, the issue may be with your laptop’s display rather than the entire system.

6. Advanced Troubleshooting:

  • Step 1: Try entering Safe Mode by pressing F11 repeatedly after powering on the laptop. This might help if the issue is software-related.
  • Step 2: If your laptop is stuck on a black screen and does not show the HP logo, it may require further diagnostics, which can be performed by HP support.

Refer to this document:  OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 User manual

HP PCs - The Computer does not boot or start

HP PCs - The computer starts but the screen remains blank (Windows 11, 10)

HP Notebook PCs - Computer beeps or a light blinks during startup

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
