Hi:

 

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ec0xxx model series.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion Gaming 15 Laptop PC

 

According to chapter 5, upgrading the memory is a customer-authorized procedure and should not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of performing any work inside the notebook.

 

If your notebook needs warranty work, you will need to return it to its original hardware configuration before sending it in for service.
