I cleared out an event viewer file and now I am in a loop where I cannot log in to my computer It states your pin is no longer available due to a change in the security settings on this device It says you can set up your PIN again by going to settings account sign in options but I am in a loop where it wants the password and it's not recognizing it

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. It's a common problem that can usually be resolved with a few steps. I would request you to please follow the steps:

 

Restart in Safe Mode:

  • Hold the Shift key and select Restart from the login screen.
  • Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings and restart.
  • Once the system restarts, press a key (F4, F5, or F6) to enable Safe Mode.

Login Using Safe Mode:

  • In Safe Mode, you'll be able to use a password to login. Use the password associated with your Microsoft account or any local administrator account.

Set Up a New PIN:

  • Once logged in, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
  • Under PIN, click Add to set up a new PIN.

Additional Options:

  • Use an alternative login method like a password or Security Key if available.

Reset Microsoft Account Password:
