How easy would it be to upgrade storage, RAM, and gpu? What compatability do I need to look out for when it comes to RAM and storage? Is changing the gpu an option or is it usually soldered in place?

The GPU is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

Chapter 1 of the service manual has the memory upgrade info and drive capacities HP offered in the model series.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

According to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook, you can install a larger capacity NVMe SSD and more memory than the manual indicates.

Your notebook's NVMe slot is PCIe Gen 3.0.
