I recently bought a new Omen laptop and wanted to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, but when I requested the game through the Omen Gaming Hub, it wasn't given to me; the Xbox screen just turns on and stays that way.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

 

  • Do you see any error messages, or does the Xbox app simply stay on a blank/idle screen?
  • Are you signed in with your Microsoft account both in OMEN Gaming Hub and the Xbox app?
  • Did you already redeem the Game Pass offer code, or are you trying to claim it for the first time?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Update OMEN Gaming Hub: Open the Microsoft Store, go to Library, and check for updates. Make sure Gaming Hub is fully up to date.
  • Update Xbox app: Similarly, update the Xbox app from the Microsoft Store. Outdated versions can cause the screen to freeze.
  • Sign out and back in: Sign out of both OMEN Gaming Hub and the Xbox app, then sign back in with the same Microsoft account.
  • Check Windows updates: Ensure your laptop has the latest Windows updates installed, as these often include fixes for app compatibility.
  • Redeem manually: If the Gaming Hub doesn’t complete the process, you can try redeeming the Game Pass offer directly through the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store.
