I want to upgrade my ssd in the laptop [bc-407tx]

I have a 6 year old hp paviilion 15 bc-407tx and it has a 128 gb installed ssd; i want to now upgrade my ssd to a 2tb gen4 ssd wd black sn770 [https://www.amazon.com/WD_BLACK-SN770-Internal-Gaming-Solid/dp/B09QV5KJHV?crid=1FFL56A7ETOTY&keyword... 

I know it will not give full gen4 speed which is fine because I will buys some new tech next year and want to have this ssd for that as well.

Simple question: how do I know if his SSD will work with y laptop? is there a software or a thread where I can ask?

Hi @Paul,

Thanks for the help; I ordered the ssd a week back and it got delivered today and long story short it worked 

it wasn't a smooth ride due to the some issues with windows even after cloning but anyway I was able to solve them and everything works smooth 🙂
