Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everybody,

As the title says, after I have initiated and then finished an update for the windows, 2 days ago, I was able to see some differences in idle temeperatures (I will express all the temperatures on Celsius).

Before the update, I was able to use the laptop for casual browsing/ video streaming at 36-38 degrees, but,  after the update, the temperatures are more like mid 40`s (from 43 to 47) while idling/ browsing/ video streaming/ writting this post.

What I have already tried:

Rollback to a recovery point I created on 21 st of December

Reinstalling the BIOS update

Updating nVidia driver

Installing latest update for Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework

Installing latest update for Intel Firmware

Undervolting the cpu with Intel XTU at -0.155 mV (stable)

While idling using the highest performance power plan, but using processor maximum state at 99% ~2,19 GHz

Changing the browser due to high CPU usage ( from Chrome to Opera)

Stopped using ThrottleStop (saw that it was affecting my temperatures while gamine, they`ve peaked to 90+ degrees while using it)

Forgot to mention that, while gaming, I am using Razer Cortex to change the power plan, but with the help of Intel XTU, I can maintain the temperatures cool (>80 degrees) but I can see that while gaming, temperatures raiset too by 1-3 degrees.

Don`t get me wrong, I know they`re not bad, the temperatures I get now are in great, but, I don`t know what happened after that update, ALSO, I HAVE A COOLING PAD, LAPTOP IS RAISED IN A 25-30 degrees ANGLE, so the airflow it`s not a problem, room temperature hasn`t changed (22-25 ambiental temperature).

Laptop specs:

CPU: i5 8300h 2.20Ghz

GPU: GTX 1050Ti - overclocked (+150MHz  coreclock/ +170Mhz memori clock, but only while gaming)

RAM: Upgraded from 8 to 32 Gb, G.Skill Ripjaws 2666MHz DDR4

HDD: 1TB 7200RPM + SSD: 250GB m2

COOLING PAD: +/- 10% 900RPM 20$ cooling pad (thinking about changing it)

Should I consider repasting it? I bought the laptop in Octomber, 2 months old laptop raising temperatures over night?Untitled.png
