Please help me to clear this doubt.

If I buy a laptop from Oman and I'm taking to India, can I get the warranty in India? As per the shop owner he is saying Hp have an international warranty. Is it true?

Yes, that is true BUT please read

"HP Global Warranty covers HP products at the level of standard warranty offered in the country in which it is used. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B)."

That means most likely HP India would tell you to send machine to the US for repair if required.
