@Raju_212, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue where the mouse cursor on your HP OMEN 16 laptop moves and clicks on its own, opening apps and the Start menu randomly. Let's work together to resolve this.

Check for External Devices

  • Disconnect any external mouse, touchscreen, drawing pad, or USB device.
  • Restart the laptop and observe if the issue persists.

Disable Touchpad Temporarily

To rule out touchpad interference:

  • Press Windows + IDevicesTouchpad.
  • Toggle Touchpad to Off.
  • If the issue stops, it may be a touchpad hardware or driver issue.

Scan for Malware or Remote Access

Unusual cursor behavior can be caused by malware or remote control software.

  • Run a full scan using Windows Defender or a trusted antivirus.
  • Check for unknown remote access apps in Control Panel > Programs.

Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers

  • Go to Device ManagerMice and other pointing devices.
  • Right-click your touchpad device (e.g., Synaptics, ELAN, or HID-compliant) → Update driver.
  • If no update is found, uninstall the driver and restart your PC. Windows will reinstall it automatically.

BIOS Update

Sometimes BIOS updates resolve hardware glitches:

Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and install all pending updates.

Perform a Clean Boot

To rule out software conflicts:

  • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and hit Enter.
  • Under Services, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
  • Go to Startup tab → Open Task Manager → Disable all startup items.
  • Restart your PC and check if the issue persists.

HP Hardware Diagnostics

Run HP's built-in diagnostics to check for hardware issues: HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
