Hello, I have an HP Victus 16. I would like to know if increasing the RAM and the hard disk voids the product warranty? Cordially08-23-2022 06:18 AM
Hi:
Chapter 5 of the service manual indicates that upgrading the memory or SSD is a customer-authorized procedure, so you should not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of doing the upgrades.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Note: If your notebook ever needs warranty work, you will need to return it to its original hardware configuration before sending it to HP for repairs.

You're very welcome.
Since HP uses parts from several different manufacturers of SSD's and memory, it would be impossible for me to provide that info.
Even the same model notebooks in the series could have different brand memory and drives.
It just depends on what HP had on hand at the assembly plant when the PC was manufactured.
What you can do is to run the free utility that I zipped up and attached below, and it should provide that information to you.
