Increasing TGP of my graphics card

Hey, i bought a HP Victus with RTX 4060 without checking its TGP. After getting the product, i realized that the TGP is restricted to 50W, which is less than what it can do, and it has come with only a 120W adapter. What i wanted to know was if i buy a new 230W adapter, will i be able to increase the TGP to a respectable 95W or anything near it without damaging the other parts of hardware?

In the case of your HP Victus laptop with an RTX 4060, it is likely that the 50W TGP is determined by the design specifications which take into account its cooling solution and overall power budget.

Simply replacing the power adapter with a higher wattage one, such as a 230W adapter, typically does not allow users to dynamically increase the TGP of the graphics card. The TGP is often restricted by the laptop's BIOS and thermal management system, meaning it cannot be adjusted by the user without risking potential hardware instability, overheating, or damage.

It is generally not recommended to try to manually override these limitations as it could lead to voiding your warranty or causing long-term damage to your laptop's components.
