Product: Omen by HP 15-dc1063TX
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am planning to buy an Omen 15 laptop with i5/GTX1660Ti/8G/512G SSD in China (Chinese name 暗影精灵5), the product type is Omen by HP Laptop15-dc1063TX according to the Chinese seller. In order to make sure the laptop is repairable in the US, Chinese customer support says as long as this laptop is available in the US, it can be repaired. Is this an available laptop in the US? Will it be repairable in the US?

Unfortunately, that model number is only sold in China. It would not be covered in the USA for warranty. It would have to be shipped back to and from china at your expense and would not be worth the trouble and cost.

How long do you plan on being in the US? You will have to decide if you want to risk the chance of any issues or not.

 

If you buy one in the USA, it might be better to go with a CTO version as you can choose the hardware you want in it.

You have to buy directly through HP to do this...
