I've found a good deal with this specific model that was adverstised as the newest one (15-dc0051nr). I downloaded the service manual of the 15-ce198wn and the 15-dc0051nr, which are almots the same specs except for a few details, so my doubts increased if the ce198wn could be upgraded to 32 gb of RAM. The service manual says:
"Support for 16384 MB of DDR4 2666 MHz system memory in the following configurations
*16384 MB (8192 MB × 2)
*12288 MB (8192 MB × 1 + 4096 MB × 1)
*8192 MB (8192 MB × 1)"
I just want to be sure if this is correct.

Hello @cristianevl
HP only tested it to up to 16GB, but there should be no reason it wont do 32.
Be sure to match the timings that are already installed though to insure its compatable.
Crucial sells 32GB kits for it here...

Hope that helps.

Hi @Photoray002,
Yes, I thought about it, I supose that the infomration provided in the mantenance and services guide includes only the configurations whith which HP sold the laptops. I'm gonna try to put more RAM of the same speed and see what happends.
Thank you so much for your response.

Hello @sNJ119
I have had others tell me they were successful when that series first came out a few years back.
I recommend the Crucial ram listed on that page only because they give a 100% money back guarantee if their recommend ram does not work. They have been true to their word and I have never seen any complaints.
Hope that helps.

Sure thing. When you do, I assume you want the 32GB. Get the pair of 16GB together as a matched set.
Don't mix and match one new stick with the existing HP stick. If you do, half the time it results in problems due to mismatched timings.

Yes @Deborah3215 HP only sent them out with 16GB of ram.
