I purchased an Omen 17T AN000 without a factory SSD. I want to buy one but not sure what to get. When I look at compatability sheets they do not show the 17T AN000 only the models with letter or numbers at the end.. how do I determine what mine is and what I should buy?

In addition to the answer above...
You asked, what is the difference between your Omen 17T AN000 and say the other designators like Omen 17T AN01nd.
The difference is that yours is a CTO (configure to order) model. Those other various models came preconfigured, yours did not.
For example, if you ordered your Omen directly from the HP Store, you probably clicked on the Customize and Buy button. Then you were redirected to a page that had you choose what components went into the laptop.
Because of that, HP does not have a specs sheet for it because there is no way of knowing what parts went into that specific machine. So any compatability info usually wont contain your model either.
Hope that helps.

@glrret, welcome back to the forum.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop. In Chapter 5, Page 44, is the section on SSDs. There is a list of compatible M.2 SATA, PCIe NVMe TLC drives. You can use these examples to make your choice. If you still have questions about if they will work you can contact the manufacturer's Tech Support for help with choosing the correct one for your system.
