About a week ago I was playing a game on my new HP cx0058wm gaming laptop. I guess it simply didn't inform me the battery was low and it died mistake. When I booted it back up the app store and all the games from the app store failed to open. I tried uninstalling the games and all that did was remove the error message. Now, I can't uninstall or install ANY games or apps whatsoever. Today, I went to boot up my PC and now it's telling me I need to activate Windows. None of my games are working and now I have this big ugly watermark. This is a lot of trouble for a $820 computer...

Hello @JJohnston
Im not sure what happened but that is very odd. Just so you know, its not recommended to game on battery only. Always plug in the power cord if possible. You will get better performance also as the system wont throttle the power to save battery.
Considering you have no access to games anymore, I recommend resetting the system back to the factory state. This means reinstalling Windows via the recovery partition which will wipe the drive.
F11 on startup will access the recovery via Troubleshooting.
If it will not access the recovery process, you have bigger issues. Let me know if you want more detailed instructions on running the recovery.
