I bought an HP OMEN 15 2020 edition ek0022tx last month. It worked perfectly until now when my keyboard stopped responding to any of the presses. I tried multiple times but it didn’t work. Then I went to device manager and saw there is an error with my keyboard, it says as follows:-
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I tried updating the drivers but it’s says it’s up to date and also tried disabling my keyboard and then enabling it but that didn’t do anything.
The RGB lights are still working just so you know.
what should I do now ?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the keyboard is not working on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall the keyboard driver from the device manager and then restart the computer and check whether the issue is resolved.
Here is how it is done.
- Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
