Laptop Overheating and Shutting Down

HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So my laptop has been shutting down without warning when I'm doing something that requires more power (Gaming, 3d animation, etc.) I've been trying to fix it and nothing has worked. I've tried changing power plans and even reducing ammount of power the processor can use to lower the amount of heat produced, but it still gets hot and shuts off. It didn't have this problem when I first gpt but only after I was given this same laptop back from BestBuy after getting the hdd replaced.

Laptop Overheating and Shutting Down

Hi,

To protect itself from damages, it MUST shut itself donn when too hot (otherwise you will have a very big hole in your pocket). There are few helpful things which keep your machine cooler
