My Laptop broke based on a issue with the motherboard after 5 months of having it, I was my laptop for university and gaming, I have alot of important information and projects inside the laptop and now i have to free fall this for the next 6 weeks, I sent it to HP support in my area and they said its covered under warranty and it will take 6ish weeks, do I get not compensation or upgrade or anything even though this is HP’s fault.
I can provide evidence for everything

Welcome to the HP English Community --
Unless something has changed in the world of owning and using a computer, the owner of the device is responsible for making and keeping backups of all the data the owner wants to protect from harm or loss.
This requirement to protect your own data includes all your data -- personal files, classwork, photos, gaming software --
The Warranty covers certain types of hardware failures -- including repair and / or replacement of components covered by the contract.
The Warranty does not cover creating, saving, or maintaining backups of your files.
Sounds harsh, I know.
I am sorry for your loss.
What else?
If you have backups of you data on other than the original machine, then in general, the files in those backups can be accessed and used on any compatible device. For example, you might have copied your critical files to a USB drive or to a network storage backup device (NAS).
If you were using Cloud Storage for at least some of your data, those files should likely be available to you from another computer or device (tablet, phone).
For example, Microsoft provides OneDrive Storage.
If you have been using OneDrive, use your Microsoft account to sign into the account.

I agree it’s a tough situation.
I don’t know whether HP Support is willing to send you a loaner —
My understanding is that the standard limited hardware Warranty does not cover that type of extra service.
That said — I do not work for HP — only HP Support can speak for HP.
Contact Support using the case number and contact information you were provided.
Thank you for not including the case number here — we cannot make use of any private information.
I will forward your request to our moderators — again, should they have any additional help or comments, an agent will leave a message here before using other means to contact you.
I sympathize — I am simply not in a position to fix this for you.
