Hi! I would like to sincerely ask the community a question about connection to the outer monitor.

I have a BenQ monitor that supports 144Hz refresh rate, but if I want the refresh rate to get this high, I need to connect my laptop to the monitor with a DP(DisplayPort) line. The normal DP line cannot be connected to the laptop because it does not have such a connector. However, it looks like my computer has a DP mini connector, which is smaller than the normal DP joint.

I just want to know is there a way to connect my laptop to a monitor that supports 144Hz refresh rate so that my laptop's max refresh rate (120Hz I think?) can be fully utilized. And does that DP mini line exist? I could not find the product online, is it really for connection to the monitor or for something else?

And one more thing, if the prerequisites satisfied, how can I set my laptop to be done? Appreciate!

DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort are the same thing, just different size. There are cables that support Mini on one end and full size on the other, or you can get an adapter to do the same thing.

Your Laptops max refresh rate? I dont know what you mean. Your built in panel supports up to 4K 60Hz and that has nothing to do with the refresh rate of any external monitor.

Hope that helps.
