My Victus 15 fans are not starting when i turn on my laptop. they wont even start if my temperature reaches 65-70 degrees. i have to turn fans to max mode from omen hub and then turn back to auto to start it. Is it something to be concerned of or thats how it works, (its my first computer).

Hi @RazzorWing,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

It sounds like your Victus 15 laptop's fans may not be functioning as expected. Normally, the fans should start automatically when the system temperature rises to keep the internal components cool.

The fact that you have to manually set the fans to max mode through the OMEN Hub and then switch back to auto mode suggests there might be an issue with the fan control system or the thermal management settings.

Here's what you can try:

Update BIOS and Firmware: Make sure your laptop's BIOS and firmware are up to date, as updates often include fixes for fan and thermal management issues.

Update OMEN Hub Software: Ensure that you have the latest version of the OMEN Hub software, as updates can also address issues with fan control.

Check Power Settings: Verify that your power settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, power profiles can affect fan behavior, particularly if set to low-performance modes.

Thermal Settings in OMEN Hub: Look into the thermal settings within OMEN Hub to ensure they're not preventing the fans from activating at lower temperatures. You might want to reset these settings to default.

Fan Control Software Conflict: If you have other fan control or system monitoring software installed, it might be conflicting with the OMEN Hub. Consider disabling or uninstalling these applications to see if the fans behave normally.

Run Hardware Diagnostics: Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to check for any issues with the fans or the thermal system.

Clean the Fans and Vents: Dust buildup can sometimes cause fans to behave erratically. Ensure the fans and air vents are clean.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the fan or the temperature sensor, and it would be best to contact HP phone Support for further assistance.

Fans not starting as they should at higher temperatures can potentially lead to overheating, which can cause performance issues or hardware damage over time.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
