My HP Omen laptop keeps crashing at irregular intervals (sometimes it lasts all day, sometimes it’ll crash after 2 minutes). Once it crashes, it gives me a 3F0 boot error. Usually after resetting the power 40 times it boots normally, but I’m getting sick of this happening. My data is still there, when it boots normally it boots to my Lock Screen and all my files are still available. Anyone know how to actually fix this? Best Buy’s Geek Squad could not help me.

@Valistrus Can you tell me what model or Product number you have? If it wont start, the product number (p/n:) will be in tiny letters on the bottom side of the case somewhere.
3F0 boot error indicates a hard drive failure 90% of the time. If you have the UEFI Diagnostics tools on your drive, you might be able to run a test on the drive. They come default with HP's from the factory.
NOTE: sometimes it might be as simple as the hard drive not being fully connected. Re-seat if so.
How to use: When you first power on the laptop, rapidly tap the F2 key to open the tools (You're not booting into Windows).
Go to Component Tests and then hard drive quick test. If it finds nothing, use the long test. Be plugged into the power cord when doing it.
Let me know what happens.
