Laptop got dead suddenly not getting on and even not getting charge what can do? I can't even on my laptop to diagnose is there any kind of way to just on and diagnose

I understand that you are having issues with your Victus laptop not booting.

 

If your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop (15-fa0000) suddenly became unresponsive, isn’t turning on, and won’t charge, it could be a power issue or a hardware failure. Here’s a series of troubleshooting steps you can try to get your laptop to power on and diagnose the problem:

 

1. Perform a Hard Reset:

This helps discharge any residual power that might be causing the laptop not to start.

  • Unplug the charger and disconnect any external devices.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15-30 seconds.
  • Now plug the charger back in and try turning on the laptop again.

2. Check the Charger and Charging Port:

  • Inspect the charger for any visible damage (frayed cable, bent connector, etc.).
  • Check the charging port on your laptop to ensure there’s no debris or damage preventing a proper connection.
  • If possible, try using a different compatible charger to see if the issue is with the charger.
  • Verify if the charging light indicator turns on when the charger is connected. If the charging light is off or blinking abnormally, it could indicate a power supply issue.

3. Try a Different Power Outlet:

  • Plug the charger into a different wall outlet to rule out any issues with the power source.
  • Avoid using power strips or surge protectors as they can sometimes cause power delivery problems.

4. Remove the Battery (if removable):

Some HP models have a removable battery, while others have an internal one. If your model has a removable battery:

  • Remove the battery, plug the laptop into the charger (without the battery), and try powering it on.
  • If the laptop powers on, the battery may be faulty and needs replacement.

5. Check for Loose Connections:

  • Gently shake or tap the laptop to check if any internal components might have become loose or disconnected.
  • If you’re comfortable doing so, you can open the back panel (following the manufacturer’s instructions) and ensure that the internal components, such as the battery, are properly connected.

6. Check the Power Button:

  • The power button might be stuck or not functioning. Try pressing it several times firmly, or holding it down for an extended period (30-60 seconds).

7. Attempt a BIOS Reset (for non-removable batteries):

  • Some HP laptops have a BIOS reset feature that can be triggered if the laptop has an internal (non-removable) battery:
    1. Press and hold the Windows key + B while simultaneously pressing the Power button for about 5 seconds.
    2. If this works, the BIOS recovery screen should appear.

8. Try with and Without Power Supply:

  • Disconnect the charger and hold down the Power button for 60 seconds, then release.
  • Plug the charger back in and try to power on the laptop again.
  • Alternatively, try turning it on without the charger connected.

9. Look for Any Error Beeps or LED Signals:

  • If you notice any blinking LED lights near the power button or hear beep codes, it could be an indication of a hardware failure. Each pattern corresponds to a different issue (e.g., CPU failure, memory failure). Refer to your user manual or the HP support website for an interpretation of these codes.

10. Test the Power Adapter:

  • If you have access to a multimeter, you can check if the charger is supplying the correct voltage.
  • If it isn’t, you may need a replacement power adapter.

11. Attempt a Minimal Boot (if you're comfortable with disassembly):

  • If you are comfortable opening the laptop, you can try disconnecting non-essential components (like the hard drive, additional RAM sticks, etc.) and booting with only the essential components (motherboard, RAM, and CPU).
  • If the laptop powers on with only essential components, you can identify a faulty part.

 

  • If none of the above steps work, there may be a serious hardware issue such as a motherboard failure, power circuit malfunction, or faulty internal components.
  • In this case, I recommend contacting HP Phone Support or taking the laptop to an authorized service center for diagnosis and repair.
