Its specs

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06656952

It requires a 230 W Smart AC power adapter. Firstly please use the following Guide

               https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/how-to-fix-laptop-that-wont-charge

Hope this helps otherwise please check the wattage rating of you current charger. Does it show 230W ? If

   (a) Yes: it could be a faulty charger. Is it still under warranty, please call HP to get a replacement.

   (b) If no: you've got a wrong charger.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply Banhien! Unfortunately, the steps which you provided me within the guide do not work, I've tried all of them. Drivers are updated, the plugs do not appear to have any issues, and my AC power adapter is 230W. My laptop charges while it's off, but immediately turns off once the laptop is switched on, which leads me to believe my power adapter does work, and that it's simply a hardware fault. Any help will gladly be appreciated.
