HP Recommended
Example: Pavilion 15cx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I clicked on Update and Restart option while trying to restart my laptop. It went off, then it the blue configuring screen came up and after some time it just turned off. I tried turning it on but it doesn't respond at all. It was working completely fine till now..

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us run a test on the hardware components and if the test passes performing a recovery on the PC may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Perform some basic hardware checks to rule out a hardware problem

  • Once the PC is completely OFF, connect the AC adapter and Power the computer back on.
  • As soon as you press the power-on button, immediately begin hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap) before any logo appears. This should open a HP Startup Menu
  • Choose F2 to open System Diagnostics. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform System Test >> Quick test.
  • This will check major hardware components for an issue, Click here to watch a video of the same.
  •  If the tests pass without issues, continue. If not, please, let me know with the error code.

Step 2: Perform a System Recovery (Windows 10)

Refer to this document for the steps. Follow the steps under Recovery when Windows 10 does not start correctly

Let me know how this goes.
