Laptop power supply gets too hot to touch
06-24-2022 12:51 AM

Hello,
My new HP Omen 15 laptop's power supply adapter gets too hot to touch after playing games or charging the laptop for some time. It cools down when the laptop isn't charging, but when the laptop is charging, or when I am playing games, the power supply gets so hot that I can't hold it for more than 2 seconds.
Is this a sign of a faulty adapter? Because I have never seen my previous laptops' adapters getting so hot that I can't touch them.
If my laptop adapter is faulty, then how do I get it replaced?
Thanks

Hello @RayoViBE
Scenario 1:
If you have waranty contact HP Support:
Scenario 2:
No waranty.
Buy spare part ( power charger ) online. Should have correct Voltage (V), Current (A) and Wattage (W) !
best regards
