OMEN by HP OMEN 17-cb0006na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When playing games the laptop freezes and locks up, it then crashes and restarts, it sometimes emits a loud buzzing sound through any headphones when crashing, it normally crashes when loading in a level or just after loading the level, it then restarts showing the omen logo, the keyboard backlighting is sometimes reset, The laptop is still under warranty, I just want this fixed, This has been going on for almost 7 months since the original boot of the laptop, all drivers and bios are up to date, this issue has happened since the first day.

There is no BSOD. This is all I could find about the crash in event viewer, same stuff each time.

@Owlman2020 here are a few steps that should help us identify and resolve the issue:

Step 1: Run hardware diagnostic tests

Make sure the issue is not hardware related by performing diagnostic tests.

  1. In Windows, search for and open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows app.

If the app is not installed on your computer, download the latest version from the HP Hardware Diagnostics website.

  2. On the main menu, click System Tests.

  3. Click the System Fast Test tab.

  4. Click Run once.

While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component displays on the screen.

  5. If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) and contact HP Customer Support. The information is also available in the Test Logs on the main menu.

If no system component failed, continue with these steps.

  6. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic app, click System Test, and then click System Extensive Test. The Extensive Test might take several hours to complete.

    • If an issue is not found, continue to the next step.

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)

I have already run the hardware diagnostic tests, they come up clean, no issues, It still crashes when running games, If It is the hardware then it's not showing up.

@Owlman202 If hardware tests have passed, this could be an issue with the OS, I suggest you backup all your data on an external storage device and then, reinstall OS by clicking here for steps, let me know how that pans out.
