OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear community,  my 2-year old HP Omen 15 laptop has been shutting down by itself (sudden black screen)  around 20% battery, with no notification at all.  The laptop will only restart once plugged in again, starting again around 20%.

I have tried configuring Advanced Power Settings, without success; Power Settings is on 'HP Recommended', Low Battery Notification 'On battery' is On, and Low Battery Action 'On battery' is 'Do nothing'.

HP Diagnostics and Components Test for the battery doesn't show anything wrong (battery passes test). On Device Manager, ACPI Compliant Control driver seems to be up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

@mdmh84, Welcome to HP Support Community!

You may need to manually calibrate the battery, use this document to know how to do it:
http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04700771

Then do a hard reset: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01684768

Reload BIOS to defaults: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00034791

Keep me posted for further assistance.
